Prague Zoo
The zoological garden of Prague is a paradise for lovers of idyllic walks. No matter what season or day of the week - singles, couples, families, tourists, locals, people of all ages respectively, meet here. The atmosphere of the location is ideal for breakouts from everyday life. Cats of prey and antelopes, elephants, polar bears, monkeys, birds, reptiles and many more can be visited for an admission fee that can only be called a bargain.
Troja (castle)
This baroque castle is one of many proofs that there are striking cultural highlights even outside the boundaries of the inner city. “Troja” is definitely a good reason for an excursion off the beaten track. This former summer residence of Václav Adalbert of Sternberg is situated in the city’s northern district, the scenic region in the immediate vicinity of the zoological garden. The artistically appealing main building and its annexes are well worth seeing, not least because of the perron in the foyer which is a stunning example for masterly crafted sculptor work. There’s also a good few garden plots which invite to linger. Very picturesque is the sight of the river Vltava winding its way to the south of the castle.
